The Cameron Park Kitfox Fly-in and BBQ was conceived as an opportunity for Kitfox enthusiasts within flying / driving distance of Cameron Park to get together for an informal tech-talk and socializing event.

In 2006 twenty Kitfoxes flew in. Other kit aircraft, Certified aircraft and Automobiles brought the rest of the nearly 80 people who attended.

The long distance record is still held by Ray Volk, but now his record is replicated yearly as members of the Desert Fox squadron fly in from the phoenix area.

The 2006 long distance participants were the Desert Fox Squadron, from Phoenix, AZ.

Lowell Fitt, as usual came the shortest distance - rolling his Model IV out of his hangar onto the apron,
